The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. Inc. on Friday told a New York bankruptcy court it had reached a settlement with OfficeMax Inc. in a suit alleging A&P improperly poached OfficeMax executives and interfered with their nonsolicitation agreements.

A&P Strikes Crucial Ch. 11 Deal With Major Supplier
The Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Co. Inc. on Friday told a New York bankruptcy court that it had struck a crucial deal with its most important supplier that would revamp its supply chain needs and help the supermarket chain save $50 million annually.
