Steven Donziger is not a mobster, but under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, he is being treated like one. Donziger, a Harvard-educated lawyer, won a $9.5 billion environmental damages award against Chevron Corp. in 2011 in Ecuador, only for the oil giant to sue him in New York under RICO, a 1970 law that was originally designed to prosecute members of the mafia....
