Thomas V. Girardi and his celebrated plaintiffs' firm, Girardi Keese, have been sued dozens of times over at least four decades by clients and former co-counsel for botching cases, stealing from settlements, and reneging on fee agreements. All the while, the State Bar of California failed to take public action against him.
