What Law Firm Leaders Say You Should Know For The Future

By Annie Pancak | February 12, 2020

Here, in front of the camera, law firm leaders talk about how to prepare for a future where technology and a new generation of talent and competitors will change the way attorneys work.

The leaders are Elliott Portnoy, global CEO of Dentons, Ira Coleman, chairman of McDermott Will & Emery LLP, and Nina Roket, co-administrative partner at Olshan Frome Wolosky LLP.

Portnoy has been the CEO of Dentons for seven years and was recently featured in Law360's Law Firm Leaders series, where he spoke about the firm's rapid growth in that time. He previously was the chairman of Sonnenschein Nath & Rosenthal, which later became SNR Denton, one of the firms that combined to create Dentons in 2013.

Coleman has been the chairman of McDermott since 2017. Before that, he served as global head of the firm's corporate and transactional practice and partner-in-charge of its Miami office. Coleman was also featured in Law360's Law Firm Leaders series last year.

Roket, a real estate partner at Oshan, serves as a co-administrative partner at the firm as well as the chair of the firm's hiring committee. She is also the founder and chair of the firm's women's committee. Roket was among the female law firm leaders featured in Law360's 2018 Glass Ceiling Report
