Title VII Doesn't Cover Sex Orientation Bias, 2nd Circ. Told
Ad agency DDB Worldwide told the Second Circuit on Friday that a lower court properly dismissed a discrimination suit filed by a DDB advertising executive on the grounds that Title VII excludes claims of sexual orientation discrimination, among other reasons.

2nd Circ. Asked To Rethink Sex Bias Standard By LGBT Group
A nonprofit legal defense fund became the latest entity on Friday to urge the Second Circuit to expand its interpretation of Title VII's ban on sex bias to include discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, saying the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has already taken that position and deserves deference.

2nd Circ. Urged To Update Sex Bias Standard
The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and more than 120 federal lawmakers told the Second Circuit Tuesday to revise its "outdated" precedent on sexual orientation discrimination by expanding its interpretation of Title VII's ban on sex bias to include discrimination based on sexual orientation.
