The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has urged a Connecticut federal judge to order Yale New Haven Hospital to cough up psychological exams it's accused of forcing on older medical practitioners, saying the tests were central to its age bias case.

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission sued Yale New Haven Hospital in federal court Tuesday, accusing the teaching hospital of violating federal anti-discrimination laws by requiring medical providers over age 70 to take neuropsychological and eye exams to renew their staff privileges.
