Visa urges US judge to dismiss MiCamp's antitrust lawsuit
( July 16, 2025, 00:50 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Visa filed a reply in support of its motion to dismiss MiCamp's second amended complaint. MiCamp alleges that Visa has made various policies and rules and penalties that it has enforced on independent sales organizations related to surcharging and cash discounting to hide exorbitant transaction fees from consumers and avoid regulation. In its reply, Visa wrote that MiCamp, in its opposition to dismissing the lawsuit, doesn't discuss the court's order throwing out MiCamp's prior complaint or explain why the second amended complaint now contains factual allegations that would lead to a different result. "MiCamp does not dispute that instead of adding factual detail that would support its antitrust standing, MiCamp deleted all allegations detailing its role in the payment ecosystem instead," Visa wrote.See court filing. ...
