China issues draft pricing-compliance guidelines for auto sector

The proposed guideline — grounded in China’s pricing laws and regulations — outlines prohibitions against price collusion, below-cost sales intended to exclude competitors and misleading promotions and improper charges. It also requires transparent price display, guides companies to build internal compliance and risk-control mechanisms, and introduces platform-specific rules such as bans on coercive promotional practices and risk alerts for abnormally low prices.
