US Treasury-led FSOC creates climate-related financial risk advisory panel

( October 3, 2022, 21:16 GMT | Official Statement) -- The US Treasury-led Financial Stability Oversight Council established a climate-related financial risk advisory committee to provide information and analysis of climate-related financial risks to the top US financial regulators. The 20-member panel includes seven academics; Catherine Ansell, JPMorgan Chase's climate risk executive director; and Janine Guillot, special adviser to the chair of the International Sustainability Standards Board. The committee also consists of a government observer: Allen Fawcett, the Environmental Protection Agency's climate economics branch chief.
