RTL ‘very confident’ Sky Deutschland buy will be approved by EU regulators

Thomas Rabe said the two companies are “complementary”, with Sky focusing on subscriptions rather than advertising, which meant the deal was unlikely to draw the same concerns from competition regulators as RTL's recent abortive efforts to buy companies in France and the Netherlands. RTL is very confident its acquisition of Sky Deutschland will be approved by EU regulators next year as the companies are complementary and operate on different markets, its chief executive said today....
