DOJ, USPTO statement of interest comes in Fortress-backed case

The filing was lodged in response to a preliminary injunction request by Radian Memory Systems LLC, whose principal place of business seemingly corresponds to a virtual office space and who asserts patents backed by Fortress Investments — the third-party litigation funder with ties to USPTO Director-nominee John Squires.It had been 20 years since the US Patent and Trademark Office filed a statement of interest in US district court litigation, but the streak came to an end this week....
