Amazon seeks quick UK InterDigital SEPs trial to head off foreign injunctions

By Douglas Clarke-Williams ( October 30, 2025, 16:02 GMT | Insight) -- Amazon argued in the High Court in London on Thursday that an expedited trial in its dispute with InterDigital over video streaming patents is needed in order to prevent InterDigital from deliberately delaying proceedings in the UK. It argued that InterDigital wants to do so to buy time for it to win injunctions from foreign courts to further restrict Amazon’s litigation in the UK.Amazon has told a court in London that InterDigital is "plainly trying to delay” proceedings in the UK so that the standard-essential patent holder can obtain favorable injunctions from other jurisdictions....
