TWi Pharmaceuticals calls for US sanctions in Dexilant antitrust case
( July 9, 2026, 00:04 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: TWi Pharmaceuticals filed a reply in support of its motion for sanctions against plaintiffs in a US antitrust suit arising from a settlement agreement between the manufacturer of protein pump inhibitor Dexilant and a generics manufacturer. The lawsuit alleges that this agreement restrained competition. "Sanctions are appropriate when a plaintiff maintains core allegations that are negated by central evidence and facts that would exist in any world — whether real or 'but-for.' Such is the case here," TWi wrote in its reply. The defendant argued that "the record evidence and Plaintiffs’ opposition demonstrate that TWi faced many serious obstacles to generic entry that would have existed regardless of the Settlement Agreement."
