Japan considers subsidy, bidding suspensions under revised subcontracting law

( September 11, 2026, 02:39 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Japanese Cabinet Secretariat's working group on strengthening small- and mid-sized businesses and promoting wage increases on Thursday discussed plans to suspend subsidies and eligibility to participate in public tenders for companies that receive corrective recommendations under the revised subcontracting law, or the SME Transactions Act, which took effect in January, according to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
