Antitrust - Epic Games - Apple - Lawsuit over alleged mobile-device marketplace restrictions (Australia)

Epic Games filed a legal action in the Federal Court of Australia accusing Apple of engaging in anticompetitive restrictions on mobile device marketplaces. The claims stem from Apple’s removal of Epic’s Fortnite app from the App Store after Epic enabled in-app purchases. Epic said Apple is seeking to force developers to distribute their apps to iOS users through the App Store and use Apple’s payment platform for in-app purchases, enabling Apple to impose a 30 percent commission.
