Data Privacy & Security - US DOJ - FBI - ACLU FOIA litigation for information on decryption tech

The American Civil Liberties Union has asked a US federal court to order that the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation to turn over documents pertaining to the FBI’s electronic device analysis unit. According to the ACLU, the unit acquired or is in the process of acquiring software that allows the government to unlock and decrypt information that is otherwise securely stored on cell phones.
