UK businesses facing phased rollout of data protection law changes

While no fixed dates have been issued, the regulator's timeline signals a gradual rollout. Key updates will address lawful bases, complaint handling, research provisions and consent requirements for low-risk advertising.UK businesses can expect the country’s data reform act to be implemented through secondary legislation over the next six to nine months, with the earliest changes expected to come by autumn, and the last scheduled for winter under the UK privacy watchdog’s rollout plans....
