Clearview AI faces 2027 privacy jury trial in California

A state court judge set the trial date today in Oakland, California, in the case that was delayed for two-and-a-half years by Clearview's unsuccessful appeal of the case. Clearview AI potentially faces it's first privacy trial before a US jury, with a California state court judge setting early 2027 for a trial on claims by immigration rights groups that the controversial facial-recognition startup violated their privacy rights under California law....
