Google says Chrome privacy plaintiffs can’t use prior US rulings

( October 30, 2025, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Google filed a reply supporting its motion to dismiss “dormant claims” in a US case accusing it of violating federal and state privacy laws by collecting personal data without consent from Chrome users who chose not to “sync” their browsers with Google accounts. Google noted they’re trying to defend their claims with irrelevant prior orders. “Their gambit fails. Because the dormant claims have never been adjudicated, Judge Koh’s prior order does not insulate them. And because Brown is a completely different case, plaintiffs’ claims should be tested on their own merits,” Google argued.See attached file. ...
