France, Latvia, Spain must notify measures under EU financial cybersecurity rules

( July 8, 2026, 10:46 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: France, Latvia and Spain have had infringement procedures opened against them for failing to notify national measures under Article 53 of the Digital Operational Resilience Act, the European Commission said on Wednesday. They must inform the commission and the three EU financial supervisory authorities — the European Banking Authority, the European Securities and Markets Authority and the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority — of measures including administrative penalties and remedial actions.
