The selected initiatives target emissions cuts in heavy industry, renewable energy, transport and carbon management, with the potential to cut some 221 million metric tons of CO2 over 10 years. The funding comes from the Innovation Fund, using revenues from the EU Emissions Trading System. The commission plans to start the next funding round in December.Press release follows.
