Eleven EU states pressed to fully implement money-laundering rules

( September 25, 2025, 10:52 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The European Commission has notified 11 EU member states for failing to fully transpose EU anti-money laundering requirements on beneficial ownership transparency. According to the EU law, countries must guarantee comprehensive access to information of beneficial ownership of legal entities, trusts or similar arrangements. The lagging countries — Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Greece, Italy, Cyprus, Croatia, Poland, Slovakia and Sweden — have now two months to comply or risk escalation from the European Commission.Statement follows....
