New compromise text for EU’s ‘omnibus’ law presented to EU countries

( June 4, 2025, 11:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A new version of the EU’s “omnibus” directive aimed at simplifying due-diligence reporting requirements was circulated today for discussion among EU capitals. The text, presented by Poland in its role as chair of the talks, provides further clarification on companies’ obligations to assess the environmental and human rights impacts of their supply chains. Once EU countries agree on their amended version of the text, they will need to negotiate the final wording of the law with EU lawmakers.Full document attached....
