Real estate developers accused of illegally influencing a D.C. city council member to withdraw support for a competitor's contract proposal asked a D.C. Circuit panel Thursday to reconsider its opinion reviving a tortious interference suit, saying its lobbying efforts were legal.

The D.C. Circuit on Tuesday revived Banneker Ventures LLC's suit accusing D.C. Councilman Jim Graham of scheming to shift a contract to revitalize a Metrorail station site to a rival real estate developer, ruling D.C.'s transit agency, through Graham, failed to negotiate in good faith with Banneker.

Banneker Ventures LLC pressed the D.C. Circuit on Friday to revive its suit accusing D.C. Councilmember Jim Graham of colluding to rob the real estate developer of the opportunity to revitalize a Metrorail station site and build residential and retail space, insisting the antitrust and contract breach claims are valid.
