The owner of the historic Belleview Biltmore Hotel asked a Florida federal court Monday to toss a lawsuit alleging it plans to demolish the property in violation of the National Historic Preservation Act, saying no such demolition plans exist.

A Florida community preservation group filed a suit in federal court Wednesday against the town of Belleair and the owner of the Belleview Biltmore Hotel for allegedly failing to maintain the property in violation of the National Historic Preservation Act.
