Seneca Insurance Co. has reached a settlement with a commercial property owner in a Texas federal suit over coverage of hail damage, according to a joint stipulation to dismiss the suit.

A Texas federal judge said a commercial property owner's expert witness could weigh in on the timing of hail damage in an insurance coverage dispute, but declined to let the witness also opine on the cost of replacing the damaged property.
