The Second Circuit on Monday affirmed an order forcing a subsidiary of Chinese conglomerate HNA Group to turn over its most valuable North American asset to an SL Green Realty Corp. affiliate owed about $185 million, following a dispute stemming from the affiliate's $148 million investment in a Manhattan skyscraper.

An SL Green Realty Corp. unit has asked the Second Circuit to confirm a lower court order requiring Chinese conglomerate HNA Group International to turn over its interest in HNA North America in partial satisfaction of a $185 million judgment against the conglomerate.

A subsidiary of Chinese conglomerate HNA Group urged the Second Circuit to undo a ruling ordering it to hand over its assets to satisfy an almost $185 million award to an affiliate of SL Green Realty Corp., arguing the ruling goes against New York and Delaware state laws.
