Colorado has granted a six-month extension for all tax returns that were previously due April 15 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the state Department of Revenue said in a statement Monday.

The deadline for payment for all Colorado taxpayers has been extended to July 15 from April 15, according to the statement. The deadline for filing returns due on April 15 has also been extended, to Oct. 15, the statement said.

Democratic Gov. Jared Polis said on Friday the state deadline for estimated income tax payments for 2020 has been extended and penalties are waived until July 15.
