Dutch Bill Would Align Deductions With EU Court Ruling

The Netherlands has disclosed it is proposing interim legislation to comply with a European Union court ruling against a tax regime that lets Dutch resident companies consolidate as a single tax entity eligible for certain interest deductions.

Finance Secretary Menno Snel said in a letter dated June 6 accompanying a bill for consideration by the Dutch House of Representatives that the legislation would deny the benefit both for cross-border and domestic transactions.
