Wal-Mart Stores Inc. in an updated lawsuit in California federal court has named dozens of executives from Bumble Bee Foods LLC, StarKist Co. and Tri-Union Seafoods LLC who it alleges participated in a decadelong scheme to fix prices for canned tuna sold in the U.S.

A California federal judge on Tuesday dismissed some state claims in multidistrict litigation alleging a vast price-fixing conspiracy in the seafood industry, saying among other reasons that buyers of the seafood did not purchase the products in the relevant states.

Seafood Price-Fixing Suits Centralized In Southern California
The U.S. Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation on Thursday ordered the consolidation and transfer of nine proposed class actions and 44 related cases accusing three of the largest producers of packaged seafood products in the country of price-fixing to California's Southern District.
