    Cigna Corp. and Prudential Retirement Insurance and Annuity Co. have agreed to a $35 million settlement in a putative class action Employee Retirement Income Security Act suit accusing them of imposing excessive fees on Cigna's 401(k) plan, they told an Illinois federal court Friday.

    A Pennsylvania federal judge on Tuesday refused to enforce a 2005 class settlement between Cigna Corp. and employees that the health insurer claims bars another class action in Illinois federal court brought by some of the same plaintiffs raising similar allegations of retirement plan mismanagement.
