An Alaska Native corporation and a subsidiary pressed a federal court Friday to let the company try to end a False Claims Act suit, saying the relator who brought the suit had failed to show several subsidiaries weren't eligible for a Small Business Administration contract program.

An Alaska federal judge on Thursday invited a Virginia man to consider amending his suit alleging an Alaska Native corporation violated the False Claims Act by misrepresenting its eligibility for a Small Business Administration program, saying a recent U.S. Supreme Court decision appeared to set a higher pleading standard for such claims.
