A federal judge tossed Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore's challenge to a portion of the state constitution that triggered his automatic suspension while the Judicial Inquiry Commission reviews his controversial actions regarding same-sex marriage, saying Thursday that the matter doesn't warrant interfering with state-court proceedings.

Alabama Chief Justice Roy Moore said that he was suspended from his position without due process while the Judicial Inquiry Commission reviews his controversial actions regarding the legalization of same-sex marriage and asked a federal judge to strike down the part of the state constitution triggering the automatic suspension.
