A Florida federal judge on Monday shot down an amended putative class action from an UberEATS driver claiming he was misclassified as an independent contractor and denied minimum wage, saying the "shotgun" complaint needed to more sufficiently assert its claims.

Uber Technologies Inc. was hit with a fresh lawsuit in Florida federal court Tuesday by a putative class of drivers for the UberEATS meal delivery service, who allege they are misclassified as independent contractors and deprived of minimum wage under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
