A painting company and two workers snagged approval of a settlement Wednesday, ending a Fair Labor Standards Act collective action in Arkansas federal court claiming the company misclassified workers as overtime-exempt and failed to pay for work performed beyond 40 hours a week.

A former store manager for a painting company can represent a collective of workers in his suit seeking unpaid overtime, an Arkansas federal judge ruled Tuesday, limiting, however, the reach of the collective to the two locations where the former manager worked.
