A $3 million deal to end a lawsuit claiming Amazon failed to pay about 2,500 delivery workers overtime cannot yet go forward because the $10,000 service awards proposed for the named plaintiffs is unreasonable, a Pennsylvania federal judge ruled Monday.

Amazon and a proposed collective of as many as 2,500 package delivery workers asked a Pennsylvania federal judge to sign off on a $3 million settlement to the workers' overtime wage suit, telling the judge that their deal was a fair compromise of a hotly contested dispute.
