A Black former employee of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs has agreed to end her suit alleging she was charged with not reporting to work despite having approved intermittent medical leave and was discriminated against because of her race and sex, a Missouri federal court said Wednesday.

The Department of Veterans Affairs charged a Black female ex-employee with failing to show up to work despite granting her intermittent medical leave, according to a complaint the worker filed in Missouri federal court, which also claimed her supervisor degraded her and purposefully gave her negative performance reviews.
