6th Circ. Says Excess Insurer May Recover $8M Defense Costs
The Sixth Circuit on Wednesday said that insurer Great Divide had to pay $8 million to insurer Westchester after a joint policyholder was left without a covered defense in an underlying suit, saying it didn't matter that Great Divide had reached a settlement with the policyholder and bowed out long ago.
