    BioTelemetry, CardioNet To Pay $44.8M To Settle FCA Case

    Medical device manufacturer BioTelemetry and its subsidiary CardioNet have agreed to pay $44.8 million to resolve whistleblower claims accusing them of submitting fraudulent claims to federal health care programs for heart monitoring tests and related services performed outside the U.S. and by unqualified offshore technicians, the U.S. Department of Justice announced Tuesday.
