The Second Circuit on Wednesday found an insurer has no duty to defend the host of a Harley-Davidson rally in a suit stemming from a crash that occurred on the way into the event, holding that a modified auto exclusion unambiguously relieved the carrier of its obligations.

A Second Circuit panel appeared unconvinced during oral arguments Thursday that ambiguities in an absolute auto exclusion in a commercial general liability policy would require an insurer to provide a defense against a suit for injuries that resulted from a crash outside a Harley-Davidson event.
