    Kmart Settles EEOC Suit Over Discriminatory Urine Test

    Kmart Corp. has agreed to pay about $102,000 to a disabled man who says the company refused to employ him because he couldn't provide a urine sample for drug testing, according to a filing Wednesday in a U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission suit in Maryland federal court.

    The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission slapped Kmart Corp. with a disability discrimination lawsuit on Thursday, accusing the discount retailer of refusing to employ a Maryland man because of his inability to provide a urine sample for drug testing due to a kidney ailment.
