Victims of attorney Scott Rothstein's $1.2 billion Ponzi scheme objected Wednesday to a $70 million settlement with Florida's Gibraltar Private Bank & Trust over its alleged role in the scheme, saying a provision barring other suits against Gibraltar exceeds the bankruptcy court's jurisdiction.

Miami businessman Ira Sochet, accused of reaping millions through Scott Rothstein's Ponzi scheme, reached a settlement Thursday with Rothstein's Chapter 11 trustee, agreeing to pay the estate $25 million but retaining a nonpriority $68 million claim against Rothstein's defunct law firm.
