    J-M Can't Dodge FCA Suit Over Defective Pipes

    A California federal judge on Monday refused to throw out a False Claims Act lawsuit alleging J-M Manufacturing Co. Inc. defrauded dozens of state and local governments by selling them defective pipes, rejecting its argument that the plaintiffs can't sustain their claims because they can't prove the pipes they received were substandard.
