Federal Circuit Upholds Dietary Supplement Rulings

Law360, New York (September 26, 2006, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit has handed Kemin Foods and Catholic University a partial victory in a patent infringement battle involving a key ingredient used in nutritional supplements.

The court ruled in part against Pigmentos Vegetales del Centro S.A. de C.V. on Tuesday, concluding that Kemin and Catholic’s two patents-in-suit were valid and enforceable.
