HealthSouth Fails To Shoot Down $376M Suit

Law360, New York (February 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- A Michigan company’s bid to collect more than $376 million from HealthSouth Corp. will move forward, after a state Supreme Court denied HealthSouth’s bid to have General Medicine PC’s fraudulent transfer suit dismissed for lack of standing.

The Alabama Supreme Court denied HealthSouth’s petition for a writ of mandamus because HealthSouth failed to demonstrate a “clear legal right” to the relief it requested.
