S. Korea Balks At Changing US Trade Deal Details

Law360, New York (October 20, 2010, 4:12 PM EDT) -- South Korea’s trade minister has reportedly said his country won’t rework the free trade deal it negotiated with the U.S. in 2007, and that it’s up to Americans to find a creative fix for some controversial elements opposed by the U.S. auto and beef industries.

“Rewriting the text is unacceptable. Instead of complaining, the best way is to take the text as signed and push it forward ... the best way is to take it to Congress as signed,” South Korean Trade Minister Kim Jong-hoon said...
