Barnes & Thornburg Pilfers From Pillsbury

Law360, New York (April 12, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Midwest powerhouse Barnes & Thornburg has snagged a former section leader for patent prosecution from Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman in efforts to beef up its intellectual property ranks in Washington, D.C.

On Tuesday, Barnes & Thornburg revealed that it had lured Jeffrey D. Karceski away from the firm he called home for eight years.

"We believe that Jeff's practice philosophy and his perspective on client service is a true fit with Barnes & Thornburg," said Perry Palan, head of the firm's intellectual property practice in Washington....
