US Regulators Probe Nissan Sedans, Jeep Wranglers

Law360, New York (May 27, 2011, 3:35 PM EDT) -- The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration on May 23 began investigating brake leaks in Nissan North America Inc.'s Altima sedans and airbag problems in Chrysler Group LLC's Jeep Wrangler.

Also on Monday, the NHTSA opened a probe to determine whether Volvo Trucks North America had identified all Volvo vehicles impacted by multiple recalls launched over concerns that a bonding agent could fail and cause the side windows on sleeper units to separate.

The regulator said it would probe about 440,000 Nissan Altimas from model years 2007...
