Regulators Probe Energy Partners Over Offshore Sites

Law360, New York (June 8, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Regulators are investigating oil and natural gas exploration and production company Energy Partners Ltd. for possible environmental violations at one of the company’s offshore sites in the Eastern Gulf of Mexico, Energy Partners said Friday.

The U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Louisiana in New Orleans, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Coast Guard told Energy Partners earlier this week that they were conducting an investigation into possible criminal violations at the company’s East Bay site.
