Korean Lawmakers Expected To Spar Over Free Trade Deal

Law360, New York (October 26, 2011, 3:05 PM EDT) -- After winning congressional approval earlier this month, the South Korea-U.S. Free Trade Agreement now faces a contentious vote in the South Korean legislature but is expected to pass, experts told a U.S. House of Representatives panel Wednesday.

President Barack Obama signed the deal into law on Oct. 21, but South Korea's National Assembly has not yet approved the measure, which supporters say will boost U.S. exports to the country by $10 billion. According to recent reports in the Korean media, a vote is planned for Friday....
